While they don’t usually infest homes like German cockroaches, palmetto bugs may enter structures during heavy rain, drought, or extreme heat in search of water. They are strong fliers, can grow up to 2 inches long, and are most active at night. Indoors, their presence often indicates moisture issues or exterior entry points, rather than an established infestation.
